Mountain Rideshare was born of the need to get to and from the mountains at the first sight of a snowstorm. …in the shortest time and most cost effective way.

Going without snowboarding was not an option. After buying the season pass and having the most amazing friends to snowboard with, the remaining piece of the puzzle was getting too & from the mountains! .......Hello Mountain Rideshare!

A website was created that allowed a mountain enthusiast community to connect and share space in vehicles travelling to, from and between ski resorts.  Check out

We Need a New Gate

StartGateYour donation of $8.75 can make this happen!

Our Boardercross / Skiercross start gate is in need of replacement. In service since 2005, purchased from the Gravity Games.  Thru 7 seasons of series use and 4 USASA Nationals we need a new one.  With the unprecedented growth in Skiercross we've had to compromise on the start as skis are much longer than snowboards.

Donate_ButtonThe old gate was never designed to have to start skiers, they weren't racing cross back then. The best gate in the world is the Settele SBX / SX gate.  It's been used at the 2010 Olympics and will be used in 2014 in Soutchi.  This is the gate we need!

A Helmet for your Teeth

Last summer my daughter came home from a routine dental check up and announced that she had to go back in a weeks time and get the majority of her molars repaired.

It seemed that the impact of her jaw clenching together while crashing (on her snowboard & bike) had cracked most of her molars, resulting in an expensive repair job.

Renew your USASA Membership today!

trans_save_winThe USASA is giving away awesome prizes each month to members just for renewing or joining.  At the end of October someone lucky member will win a 2013 157 Never Summer Evo Snowboard!

Check Your Helmets

The use of a helmet is mandatory for all events. Helmets used in USASA Snowboard/Ski events shall be specifically designed and manufactured for use in snow sports and shall bear a CE mark and conform to recognized and appropriate standards such as CE 1077 or US 2040, ASTM 2040.

You will be required to have a Ceritified for Snowsports use helmet on your head before participaing in any USASA Rocky Mountain Series event.

Please review section 151.02 "Saftety Equipment" of the 2012/13 Rule Book available at  So please, no "dude whats up with that"...........its your responsibility to get the right lid on your head.

Shown below are a few of the companies that make approved helmets.  They'll have a sticker inside stating "APPROVED FOR SNOWSPORTS USE & the CE 1077 or US 2040, ASTM 2040 tags.  Some manufacturers make both types, Bern for example makes the BAKER Hard Hat which is NOT APPROVED and also a Baker EPS Foam Model that Seth Wescott wears which is APPROVED.  Talk to the guy or gal in the shop, be sure they show you the sticker that says its approved before you lay down your cash,  cause if you show up wearing a helmet thats not approved, you're gonna be a DNS!

If you've got any questions, please write me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. but this is a pretty simple requirement, for your own protection, its not an option and we're done discussing this!
