Vail Snowboard & Skier Slopestyle

Check in and bib pickup is in the Great Room, Gold Peak Lodge - Second floor/upper level, 498 Vail Valley Drive, Vail, CO. Please check the Start list and Schedule posted. You will need to check in to confirm that your waiver has been received (electronic) or hand in / sign a paper waiver. If you've taken care of your waiver, and your name + bib # are correct on the posted start list you can proceed to the venue, otherwise come in side, complete your waiver and purchase a bib.

Slopestyle competition is the Terrain Park via Golden Peak Chair 6 - Riva Bahn - unload at mid-station

All Competitors MUST use a NEW USASA bib this season, cost is $25.00, cash or card please.  IF you have lost your bib and require a replacement bib the cost is $40.00

LIABILITY RELEASE:  All competitors must have the Vail Resorts release waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian (with proof of guardianship) in order to participate.  Athletes over the age of 18 may sign waiver.

Parking
THERE IS NO PARKING AT SSCV, ONLY DROP OFF!  
Your parking options are: ($25)Village Parking Structure or Manor Vail (daily rate available at gate) –it’s directly across from SSCV/Gold Peak Lodge. The golf course is no longer available. The only free parking is far away.      

Directions to Vail
Exit I-70 at Exit# 176.  Follow signs to Vail Village Parking Structure.  Go past the parking structure on your right to the stop sign.  Turn right at stop sign onto Vail Valley Drive.  Follow the road to Golden Peak Lodge. 

Volunteers

Spectating
You can access the competition area by skiing/riding only.  

Bag Storage
Please no bags at SSCV, Golden Peak Lodge or Gold Peak Grill.  Please use lockers at Golden Peak Lodge or bring to competition venue.

Holiday Slopestyle Contests

The first slopestyle contests of the season are now only one day away!  Both of these contests are open to ALL AGE CLASSES, Monster Army Paid 2 Podium events & Rev Tour Qualifiers and either AFP Bronze or TTR Regional sanctioned events. Registration for the two slopestyle contests is now closed, but you can still sign up for the New Years Eve Rail Jam on December 31st!

THE RULES

To Earn Paid to Podium, You Must:

  • Add the event to your calendar at least 1 day before it starts. Go to the event page and click the "I'm In" button.
  • Be an active member in the Monster Army before the specific event. Your profile must be COMPLETE (headshot and bio) and up to date, including current photos, videos, and results.
  • Make the podium in one of the eligible series/events for the class(es) specified.
  • Must post your results on your MA athlete profile to be eligible to receive payment.
  • Complete the cash payout form to provide all required information needed to recieve your earnings.
  • Claim your awards on the earnings page once the event is over and we have received the verified results from the event promoter.

New Bibs & GromCo Snowboards

All riders must purchase their bib this season for $25 in order to compete in the USASA Rocky Mountain Series! This bib number will be assigned to the rider for each event for the entire season. Riders are encourged to check the posted start lists and if there are no issues you are able to proceed to the venue gain immediate access for inspection / practice. Cash is king, however cards are usually accepted / depends on the resort and its the only way you can pay for your bib.

We also have 4 GromCo Snowboards & 4 GoPro Hero 4 Black Cameras to give away as part of the "Shred it Forward" program.  Winners are awarded a GromCo complete snowboard and asked to find a suitably sized kid to give the board to, teach them to ride it, create a video of the experience, take some photos and submit a short story.  Once the winner submits the photo's, video and story we'll award you a GoPro Hero 4!
