Ali Khavari Valedictorian

bilde

From the slopestye course to the class room Rocky Mountain Series rider Ali Kahvari can do well at it all (well maybe not golf) !  Ali's high school career landed him with top academic honors each & every year, his senior year was no exception.  Ali has been and I hope he continures to be a part of our crew, he's always got a smile and a heartfelt hello for all that I've seen him meet on the hill, the skatepark or on the street, he defines a true champion!

Ali is moving on to CSU this fall to study biomedical science, not too far down the road from us but CSU has a rad snowboard program coached by Pat "A" local ex-pro who's helping kids puruse their passions, I'll bet Ali already knows this too!

Thank you for the time you spent with us, its been a pleasure and we wish the very best to you Ali, in all our future endeavors, you're a kid that makes us all proud!

You ROCK

For the 5th season in a row, the riders that call the Rocky Mountain series their home walked away from the 2010 USASA National Championships with the Series Medal crown, an AMAZING 104 medals earned by 67 riders!  Thanks to your efforts you've kept us at the forefront of the sport.   Its hard to put in to words how proud I am of all of you who competed all season long in an effort to qualify for Nationals.  You have all contributed in pushing the sport to a higher competitive level, definitely raising the bar!  Click here to see the 2010 Medal Count Summary.

Not sure how many of have seen this, but click on the YouTube link below to see one of the wilder times on the SBX course!  Cameron Pool got a bit loose in the Menehune SBX final and Nikolas Baden had to send it a bit deeper than he would have liked, but in the end it worked out well enough for both of them.  Thanks for the celebratory nose grab on the final kicker Nik, it must have been fun!
