Ladies & Gentleman

We KICK OFF the 2010 SBX Season with NorAM racing followed by a 3 day mini camp then straight into a weekend of Rocky Mountain Series Racing on January 23rd & 24th followed by another 3 day mini camp and another solid weekend of racing January 30th & 31st on the newly constructed Vein Glory SBX & Skiercrosss track.

We've built a bombproof start (on a new wood deck) for a solid pull in to 2 back to back wootangs (not to worry they're super fun) into a set of 3 pump rollers, throught the tree island and off the 1st of 4 sweet jumps and into turn one and the rest of the course. Two spines to challenge both goofy and regular foot riders, a pro jump and a finish kicker to round off the best flowy 50 seconds any SBX course ever had to offer.

Registration closes on Wednesday evening at midnight as always, so don't be late, and bib pickup will be in the event registration office, same place as last season directly adjacent to the main ticket windows, lower level of Copper One from 8:00am thru 9:00am the morning of the event. All riders are required to purchase a new bib for the season if they have not already done so. Bib price is $20, cash only please.

We'll be offering 3 day SBX camps just prior to each weekend's Rocky Mountain Series races so you can get this course dialed and be sure you're in top form for your run at a USASA Nationals spot!. Each 3 day camp costs $150 and can also be purchased as at a daily drop in rate of $60 per day and if you need a lift ticket you can get one for $19 per day for each day of the camp. You can ride the park & pipe pretty much any day of the week during the season, the boardercross course however, is only available for a limited time, Call me at 970-968-2318 xt 45707 or e-mail me for more info.

Information is available online under 411-Info > Boardercross Training Camps Space is limited, get signed up today to take advantage of this opportunity!

Three former USASA riders, one from our very own Rocky Mountain Series the show at the 1st stop of the US Grand Prix.  Snowboarding megastar Shaun White cruised to victory, scoring a 47.0 after a run in which he landed halfpipe's hottest trick — the double cork — twice in a row. Louie Vito, 2005 USASA Open Class Pipe Champ also landed two straight double corks in his second run to finish second with 45.6 points. He was followed by local snowboarding star Zack Black, who earned a 44.1.

On the women's side, former Olympic gold medallist Kelly Clark won with 44.5, while Torino 2006 silver medal winner Gretchen Bleiler finished second with a 42.6. Japan's Soko Yamaoka scored 40.2 to grab third place — the only international snowboarder to crack the podium.  Team Paul alumnist Maddie Schaffrick took 6th, while Claire Bidez was 8th.
