The Rocky Mountain Snowboard and FreeSki Series is the largest and longest running amateur snowboard & freeskier series in the Nation.

Event registration is ONLY available ONLINE, there is NO day of event registration at any RMS event!

Online Registration closes at 11:59:59 MDT the Wednesday evening before an event unless it is full. Some venues are more popular than others and may fill up and sell out before the Wednesday deadline.  Register early and avoid disappointment.

Online Event fees: $35 Alpine, $45 Freestyle, Rail Jam, Banked Slalom / $50 Boardercross/Skiercross ($35 Boardercross/Skiercross training days)

There will be NO REGISTRATION available on the day of the event. Absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS!

Ruggies, Grom's, Adaptive Snowboarders and 9 & under Skiers compete for FREE in each and every Rocky Mountain Series RJ, SS, GS or SL contest this 2016/17 season with your Paid USASA membership. SBX / SX is NOT a 9 & Under Free event, however it is an Adaptive Snowboarder free event. All competitors must register online prior to the event, pay and entry fee for SBX / SX if required.  Contest registration (for free or paid events) is the exact same way as everyone else, online only, Wednesday evening deadline, NO day of registration.

All competitors must purchase their bib for $25.  This bib will be used for the entire season and is yours to keep!  If you loose your bib and need to purchase a replacement the charge will be $40.

Bibs will be available for purchase ($25)  from 8:00 am thru 8:45 am the day of the event, location to be announced.  Times may vary, check the event announcement.

Competior Lift Tickets are typically vailable to all competitors with a bib at a discount from regularly priced tickets.

HELMETS APPROVED FOR SNOWSPORTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL EVENTS.  Be sure that you're not wearing a DOT helmet, Hardhat or any other unapproved helmet, you will not be allowed to compete with this type of helmet on your head.  Helmet mounted cameras are not allowed.

All Competitors must be Current USASA Members.

Tentative Event Schedule (example of what to typically expect at an event)

  • Practice / Course Inspection 8:45 am thru 9:45 am at venue
  • Mandatory riders briefing at the top of the course 10:00 am
  • Competition start time 10:15 am
  • Results are posted in the location announced at the riders meeting. Protest period expires 15 minutes after the results are posted.
  • Awards 3:30 pm at the location announced at the riders meeting. * Schedule time may vary
  • USASA Sanctioned.  All USASA age classes compete for USASA National Points

USASA Regional Ranking System will be used to calculate division winners for all freestyle and alpine venues. Division winners are the only athletes awarded a guaranteed spot to compete at the 2016 National Championships. 

‣ Best 3 of 4 Slopestyle event results will be used to calculate the Series Slopestyle Champion

‣ Best 2 of 3 Halfpipe event results will be used to calculate the Series Halfpipe Champion

‣ Best 2 of 2 Giant Slalom event results will be used to calculate the Series Giant Slalom Champion

‣ Best 2 of 2 Slalom event results will be used to calculate the Series Slalom Champion

‣ Best 3 of 4 Boardercross event results will be used to calculate the Boardercross Series Champion

‣ Best 2 of 2 Rail Jam event results will be used to calculate the Rail Jam Series Champion
